Signs Your Pet Needs Emergency Care
Dr. Delbene wants you to know the signs of a medical emergency so that you can bring your pet in right away for treatment. Your pet may experience severe trauma caused by an accident or another life-threatening situation such as heat-stroke, allergic reaction, bee stings, poisoning, or choking. If your pet exhibits any of the following signs, come to the clinic right away.
- Pale gums
- Rapid breathing or weak/rapid pulse
- Fever
- Paralysis
- Loss of consciousness or seizures
- Excessive bleeding
If your pet is exhibiting irregular behavior, it may be a good idea to have diagnostic testing performed to determine if there are any issues. Our state-of-the-art facilities allow us to perform in-house bloodwork to give clients a better picture of their pet’s overall wellness.
